CHATTOGRAM, Sept 28, 2025 (BSS)- The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) conducted a raid at  Chattogram Education Board (CEB) to investigate allegations of fraud in the re-verification procedure of this year's Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination’s  answer sheets.

The raid was led by ACC Assistant Director Syed Mohammad Imran Hossain on Sunday.
Earlier, CEB formed an investigation committee on September 11 to look into allegations of irregularities in the re-verification of the 2025 SSC exam results.

The three-member committee, led by Mohammad Ekramul Haque, Deputy Director of the Board’s Accounts and Audit Branch, initially submitted the report on September 18. However, the deadline has been extended by 15 more working days.

ACC Assistant Director Syed Mohammad Imran Hossain stated that the ACC received a complaint about  result tampering in 34 answer sheets during the re-verification process. The ACC collected complaint documents and interviewed Education Board officials in response to the allegations.

CEB Chairman Prof Ilias Uddin Ahmed mentioned that ACC officials have sought information from the board, and they have cooperated in providing it. He assured that the board took the issue seriously and has already set up an investigation committee.

He explained that the delay in submitting the committee's report was caused by the busy examination schedule. The results of the SSC re-examination were published on August 10, revealing changes in the marks of 1,669 students and adjustments in the GPA of 646 students.

Meanwhile, 64 students who previously failed passed the exam, and 65 students secured new GPA-5. The updated results show that 101,245 students passed in Chattogram this year, with 11,908 students obtaining GPA-5.
