DHAKA, Sept 29, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Ansar and VDP Director General Major General Abdul Motaleb Sazzad Mahmud today visited the Uttara Sarbajanin Mandir to inspect security arrangements for Durga Puja.
He spoke to on-duty Ansar-VDP members and emphasized the force's commitment to ensuring a peaceful celebration.
"Bangladesh is a country of communal harmony. We are taking all necessary steps to ensure safe and joyous Puja celebrations," he said.
He added any attempt to disrupt the festival will be thwarted in coordination with other law enforcement agencies.
Senior Ansar-VDP officials accompanied him during the visit.
