DHAKA, Sept 30, 2025 (BSS) - BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has alleged that both domestic and foreign conspiracies are escalating against Bangladesh and its democratic system.

"These conspiracies are growing stronger, and their main targets are the Zia family and nationalist forces," Rizvi said during a meeting with leaders of the Association of Engineers Bangladesh (AEB) at the BNP's central office in Naya Paltan.

The senior BNP leader claimed that efforts are being made to destabilize the country by creating chaos and threatening communal harmony.

"All pro-democracy political parties and the general public must remain vigilant against such plots," he urged.

Rizvi also criticized those he said are trying to disrupt the upcoming national election.

"Those who lack confidence in democracy are intentionally delaying the electoral process. Under various pretexts, they are attempting to sabotage the election. For the past fifteen years, the youth of this country have been deprived of their voting rights. If another plot is hatched to deny them this right, they will not forgive it," he warned.

Addressing the AEB delegation, Rizvi praised BUET (Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology) for producing some of the nation's brightest minds. He encouraged the engineers to contribute their expertise to national development.

"BNP values your input and will consider your recommendations in shaping the country's future. I am hopeful this AEB committee will be successful," he added.

Among the AEB central leaders present were Engineer Shoeb Hossain Hablu, Mia Md. Kayyum, Tanvirul Hasan Tomal, KM Asaduzzaman Chunnu, Ghulam Rahman Rajib, Touhidur Rahman, Abdullah Al Mamun, and Hafizur Rahman.
