Khasru emphasizes importance of respecting all religions

CHATTOGRAM, Sept 30, 2025 (BSS) – Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, a member of the BNP National Standing Committee, emphasized the importance of respecting all religions and their respective festivals.

Amir Khasru clarified that BNP does not engage in politics based on religion and aims to prevent any division in the state due to religious differences.

He made these remarks during his visit to the Barik Building Ekta Group Puja Mandap on Monday night.
The BNP leader expressed that Saradiya Durga Puja holds significance beyond just a religious event; it is deeply ingrained in our culture.

He reminisced about the joy of celebrating Durga Puja together since childhood, transcending differences in a festive spirit.

He emphasized that Durga Puja is a universal festival and wished for everyone to revel in its joyous atmosphere.

Advocate Kamrul Islam Sajjad, General Secretary of the Nationalist Lawyers Forum; Nurul Amin, a BNP leader; Liton Chowdhury Babu, President of Ekta Group Puja Udjavan Parishad; among others, were present.

Later, Amir Khasru visited the South Kattoli Hari Temple and Kali Temple Sharadiya Durga Puja Festival, where he conveyed his greetings.

City BNP Joint Convener Manjur Alam, BNP leader Abul Hashem Bakkar, and others also attended the event.
