Bangladesh a model of communal harmony: ASM Abdul Halim

JAMALPUR, Oct 2, 2025 (BSS) - Adviser to BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and former Cabinet Secretary ASM Abdul Halim today said Bangladesh has always upheld its image as a shining example of communal harmony.

"We want to build the country together with people of all faiths and communities. Let us remain united for the peace and development of the nation," he said.

Halim made the remarks while exchanging greetings with members of the Hindu community during his visit to Durga Puja celebrations at Islampur upazila of the district.

The BNP leader visited several Puja Mandaps including Poddarpara, Gobinda Bari,and Roharkanda Palpara.

Leaders of the Bangladesh Puja Udjapon Parishad's Islampur upazila unit - Shree Mahadep Mohanta, Shree Ojit Chandra Dhar, Gopinath Chandra Modak, Biplob Kumar Datta and Sanjoy Karmakar, among others, were present during the visit.
