Tarique Rahman stands beside Rahul's family

BOGURA, Oct 02, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has stood beside the family of Shoaib Sarkar Rahul, a Juba Dal leader who was killed by terrorists in Bogura.

Tarique Rahman has extended his condolences to the bereaved family and assured that the BNP family would remain beside them.

Convener of Amra BNP Paribar (We BNP Family) Atikur Rahman Rumon today visited Rahul's residence at Kalgari area in Bogura town and conveyed Tarique Rahman's message of sympathy.

On behalf of the BNP Acting Chairman, Rumon also handed over financial assistance to the mourning family.

Speaking to reporters, Rumon said Tarique Rahman was deeply distressed by the brutal killing of Rahul and strongly demanded that the perpetrators be arrested within 48 hours.

He reiterated that the BNP is a peace-loving party, saying it does not seek unrest and is always willing to cooperate with the government.

Juba Dal leader Shoaib Sarkar Rahul was killed on September 30 while fishing in a pond at Magura village under Kahalu upazila, when a group of miscreants attacked and stabbed him to death.

Police have so far arrested Jamil Hossain, identified as a local Sramik League leader, in connection with the killing.
