JCD leader Tariqul extends Bijoya Dashami greetings at DU

DHAKA, Oct 2, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) Joint General Secretary and former General Secretary of Salimullah Muslim Hall unit Md. Tariqul Islam today greeted the Hindu community at Dhaka University (DU) on the occasion of Bijoya Dashami by distributing letters and flowers.

Tariqul, accompanied by several JCD leaders and activists, visited the Puja Mandap at Jagannath Hall around 11 am.

He handed over handwritten greeting letters and roses to the Provost, residential teachers, elected representatives of the Hall Sangsad and devotees present. 

The gesture was made on behalf of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.

Speaking on the occasion, Tariqul said, "Our organizational guardian Tarique Rahman has always emphasized that religion is personal, but Bangladesh belongs to everyone.”

“We believe in this principle, which is why we have stood by the Hindu community in the past, are with them today, and will remain with them in the future," he added.
