RAB arrests 2 with hemp in capital

DHAKA, October 2, 2025 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-2) arrested two drug dealers with 5.5-kg of hemp from the Nakhalpara area of capital’s Tejgaon area last night.

Rab identified the arrestees as Md Anisur Rahman, 50, and Rahima Akter, 28.

During the drive, RAB also seized a battery-run auto-rikshaw, used for transportation of the drug.

Assistant Police Superintendent (ASP) of RAB-2 Khan Asif Tapu confirmed the arrest at a press briefing this morning. “Legal action has been taken against the arrestees,” he added.
