DHAKA, Oct 4, 2025 (BSS) - A court here today passed an order to send Tajbir Hasan to jail in connection with a case of Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) with Airport Police Station. 

At the same time, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Rakibul Hasan also fixed the date for a remand hearing on October 14 next.

Tajbir was a business partner (10% shareholder) of controversial former Managing Director of NRB Global Bank and Reliance Finance Limited Prashanto Kumar (PK) Halder widely known as PK Halder.

Earlier, police arrested Tajbir under Section 54 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC). 

He was stopped at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport immigration while traveling to Turkey by a flight, said the Investigation Officer (IO) of the case. 

The ACC’s investigation revealed that Tajbir had close link in money laundering as a close accomplice in PK Halder's financial scandal.
