DHAKA, Oct 5, 2025 (BSS) - The Detective Branch (DB) of police has arrested eight more leaders and activists of Awami League (AL) and its affiliated organizations from different parts of the capital city in the past 24 hours.
 
The arrested have been identified as Sunamganj District Awami League Vice President and Bangladesh Awami League Central Committee Member Md. Enamul Kabir Emon (51), Dhaka Metropolitan South Jubo League Office Secretary Emdadul Haque (55), Banani Thana Tanti League Vice President Md. Mosharraf Hossain (38), Dhaka South City Chhatra League Joint General Secretary Kazi Miraj Hossain Moni (30), Belal Ahmed Nahian alias Biplob (32), Joypurhat Sadar Upazila Amdai Union Chairman and Union Awami League President Md. Shahanur Alam Sabu (53), Motijheel Thana Ward 9 Dainik Bangla DDS Unit Jubo League Organizing Secretary Md. Noor Alam Liton Hossain (37) and Chawkbazar Thana Ward 30 Awami League Vice President Aminul Haque Murad (45).
 
They were arrested for their suspected link to bringing out flash processions at different parts of the city, according to a press release of the police.
