DMP files 1437 cases drive against traffic rules violation

DHAKA, Oct 05, 2025 (BSS) - The traffic division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has filed a total of 1437 cases against motor vehicles and drivers for violating traffic rules in the capital during the last one day.

The DMP has been conducting campaign against traffic violations in the city aimed at bring traffic system under proper management, according to DMP's Media and Public Relations Division statement.

Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Talebur Rahman issued the statement here today.

It said that 305 motor vehicles were dumped and 65 vehicles were wrecked during the campaign against traffic rules violation during the traffic campaign against traffic rules violators on October 4.

The DMP release further said these drives against traffic rule breakers will continue to ensure discipline on Dhaka's streets.

The DMP traffic division has been working to bring traffic system under smooth in the capital for giving city dwellers easy movement.
