DMP arrests 26 people in anti-crime drive at Mohammadpur

DHAKA, Oct 05, 2025 (BSS) – Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s (DMP) Mohammadpur police station overnight arrested 26 people as part of a special anti-crime campaign.

Mohammadpur police station’s officer in charge Kazi Md Rafique Ahmed told BSS that they netted the 26 people on charges of various crimes like mugging, drug trading and theft in their latest drive carried out by several teams.

The police station chief said the suspects were produced before a Dhaka court which sent them to jail to await trial.

Ahmed said Mohammadpur police station arrested some 600 suspected criminals last month while 122 cases were filed against them.
