KHULNA, Oct 6, 2025 (BSS) - Police have arrested Aklima Khatun Tuli, president of Rupsha Upazila Unit of Jubo Mohila League, from her residence in the Singher Char area under Noihati Union.
She was detained early Monday on charges of attempting to reorganize a banned political group and running online campaigns in support of the Awami League despite restrictions on its political activities, confirmed Mohammad Mahfuzur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Rupsha Police Station.
The OC said Tuli also serves as vice-president of the district Jubo Mohila League. She was allegedly organizing secret meetings and planning to revive party activities in defiance of the political ban.
Tuli was shown arrested in a case filed on February 23, 2025, the OC added, noting that she will appear before the court.
