RAJSHAHI, Oct 6, 2025 (BSS) - Chief Organizer of the northern region of National Citizen Party (NCP) Sarjis Alam has said Bangladesh Awami League has no scope to do politics in Bangladesh.

He said the activities of Awami League have been banned. Their symbols and registration must be banned now in the legal process.

NCP leader Sarjis Alam said this while addressing a press-briefing at the conference hall of Rajshahi Chamber of Commerce and Industry here this afternoon.

He also said if anyone tries to raise the issue in the present post-revolution country he will be detected as the anti-revolution element.

Relating to their election symbol Sarjis Alam said there is no legal bar to get Shapla (Water Lily) as a symbol.

“We hope we will get Shapla as our election symbol and the NCP will take part in the election with the symbol,” he added.

NCP Rajshahi Divisional Organizing Secretary Imran Emon and City Chief Coordinator Mobasser Ali, among others, were present on the occasion.
