DHAKA, Oct 08, 2025 (BSS) - A court here today ordered the freezing of 56 bank accounts of former Health Minister AFM Ruhal Haque, his wife Ila Haque, and their son Ziaul Haque over graft allegations.

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Sabbir Faiz passed the order, allowing a plea of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

Of the accounts, 39 are in the name of Ruhal, two in Ila's name, and 15 in their son Ziaul Haque's name.

The ACC in its plea said Ruhal Haque made suspicious transactions involving a huge amount of money through the bank accounts. The accused are trying to transfer, hand over, or mortgage the funds, and that is why the accounts should be frozen immediately, it added.
