Auto-rickshaw driver killed in road accident at Gulshan

DHAKA, Oct 8, 2025 (BSS) - A man was killed in a road accident in front of Azad Mosque at Gulshan in the capital early today.
 
The deceased was identified as Delwar Hossain (45), an auto-rickshaw driver, son of Tara Mia, a resident of Karail Slum area. He hailed from Andha Village under Purbo Dhola Police Station in Netrokona district.  
 
Delwar sustained critical head injuries when a speeding motorcycle hit his auto-rickshaw in front of Azad Mosque early today, police and hospital sources said.
 
He was declared dead by the doctors on duty around 3 am today soon after he was rushed to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
