DHAKA, Oct 8, 2025 (BSS)- Senior Secretary of Land Ministry ASM Saleh Ahmed today said mandatory e-Government Procurement (e-GP) has brought a groundbreaking change to increase efficiency and transparency in public procurement.

“Everything related to public procurement from tender floating to signing of agreement and evaluation is now being done online. It significantly decreases time, expense and irregularities,” he said.

He made the remarks while speaking as the main speaker at a learning session on Public Procurement Policy-2025 at the conference room of the Land Ministry in Bangladesh Secretariat here today.

Saleh Ahmed said honesty and morality can reduce corruption. PPR is playing a pivotal role in infusing dynamism, transparency and accountability in the administrative works of the government.

“Public procurement management is not only an administrative task, but also a key to establishing the rule of law and transparency and achieving public trust,” he said.

He opined that no system can be effective completely if there is a lack of morality.

Chairman of the Land Reforms Board AJM Salahuddin Nagri, and Records and Surveys Department’s Director General Saidur Rahman and other high officials were present.
