30 crime suspects held in Pallabi, New Market areas

DHAKA, Oct 9, 2025 (BSS) - Police have arrested 30 more crime suspects from the capital’s Pallabi and New Market thana areas in the past 24 hours. 

They were arrested on specific charges of various crimes, deputy commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Muhammad Talebur Rahman confirmed. 

A team of New Market Police Station arrested nine individuals from different places in the police station areas on Wednesday. 

The arrested are Md. Sajal Mia (42), Md. Bazlu (39), Yusuf (39), Md. Zahir (40), Md. Monir Hossain (38), Md. Yusuf (39), Md. Habibur Rahman (40), Ashraful Islam (19) and Md. Shahabuddin (40).

Pallabi Thana police in a day-long operation arrested 21 crime suspects from different places of the police station areas on Wednesday. 

Some 640 pieces of Yaba, two bottles of Phensedyl, 75 grams of marijuana and cash worth Taka 292,990 were seized from their possessions during the operation. 

The arrested have been identified as Md. Mohiuddin (22), Md. Arman (30), Md. Shakil (20), Md. Sujan (25), Md. Nahid Hasan (24), Md. Kawsar (18), Md. Zahid (22), Md. Riaz (19), Md. A. Karim (20), Swapan Hossain (35), Md. Nawab (22), Md. Sohel (20), Md. Rafiq (23), Md. Kabir Ahmed (20), Md. Arif (21), Md. Khairul Islam (20), Bishad Hasan (23), Md. Shakil (19), Md. Sohan Ahmed (22),. Md. Tushar Khan (25) and Md. Hafizul Islam (22).
