Bangladeshi Hafez Anas becomes world champion in Hifzul Quran competition

DHAKA, Dec 11, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladeshi Hafez Anas Bin Atiq has become the world champion in the International Hifzul Quran competition held in Egypt.

Bangladeshi Hafez Anas has won the honor of becoming the world champion by winning first place in the 32nd International Hifzul Quran Competition held in Cairo, the capital of Egypt, from December 6 to December 10, 2025.

In addition to Egyptian competitors, competitors from 70 countries around the world participated in this competition. 

For winning first place, 14-year-old Anas was awarded 600,000 Egyptian pounds (about Taka 17 lakh) and a certificate.

Hafez Anas Bin Atiq was selected by the Islamic Foundation's Religious Promotion and Culture Department on October 7 through an experienced panel of judges to participate in this competition. 

Anas was a student of Markazut Tahfiz International Madrasa in Dhaka, son of Atiqur Rahman and Nasima Rahman hailed from Brahmanbaria.
