DHAKA, Dec 18, 2025 (BSS) - A court here today placed Khadija Yasmin, daughter of top terror and notorious 'seven star' syndicate kingpin Subrata Bain, on a five-day remand in a case lodged over the murder of Juba Dal leader Arif Shikder.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Farha Farjana Haque passed the order.

Earlier on Tuesday, police had produced Khadija before the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Hasibuzzaman and pleaded to place her on a seven-day remand in the case. But, as the prosecution failed to produce original case documents before the court, the matter was adjourned till today.

According to the case documents, Arif, former sports affairs secretary of Jatiyatabadi Juba Dal Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) ward-36 unit, was shot in the city's Noyatola area on April 19, 2025. He died of his injuries on April 21 at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Arif's sister Rima Akter initially filed an attempt to murder case against 10 with the Hatirjheel Police Station. The case was later transformed into a murder case after the death of Arif.
