DHAKA, Jan 14, 2026 (BSS) - Pallabi Police Station of the Dhaka Metropolitan 
Police (DMP) has arrested a man along with a foreign-made pistol, a magazine, 
and three rounds of bullets during a raid in the capital.

The arrested individual has been identified as Md. Yusuf Ali, 45.

He was apprehended at around 12:05 pm on Wednesday in the Bauniabad area of 
Section-11 under Pallabi Police Station.

Muhammad Talebur Rahman, deputy police commissioner (Media and Public 
Relations Division) of DMP confirmed the arrest and seizure.

Acting on secret information, a team from Pallabi Police Station learned that 
a man was illegally possessing firearms and ammunition on the west side of 
Haven City in the Bauniabad area. 

Based on this information, police conducted a raid at the location and 
arrested Yusuf Ali, recovering a foreign-made pistol, one magazine, and three 
rounds of bullets from his possession.

A case has been filed against the arrested man under the Arms Act with 
Pallabi Police Station. 

Legal proceedings are currently underway, the sources added.
