Agreement signed to formulate national action plan for Youth Entrepreneurship Policy 2025

DHAKA, Jan 15, 2026 (BSS)- The Ministry of Youth and Sports today signed a tripartite performance agreement with Plan International Bangladesh and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to formulate a national action plan aimed at making the Youth Entrepreneurship Policy 2025 more effective. 

Youth and Sports Ministry’s Joint Secretary Dr. Shaikh Mohammad Jobayed Hossain (Youth Wing), Plan International Bangladesh Country Director Kabita Bose, UNDP Assistant Resident Representative Sardar M Asaduzzaman signed the agreement on behalf of respective institutions.

Youth and Sports Secretary, Md Mahbub-Ul-Alam was present on the occasion.

Md Mahbub-ul-Alam said the National Action Plan would serve as a crucial foundation for implementing the Youth Entrepreneurship Policy 2025. 

He noted that it would particularly help create opportunities for meaningful economic participation and development for youth from vulnerable and marginalized communities.

Formulated under the leadership of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the National Action Plan will act as a coordinated roadmap for translating policy commitments into action. 

It will enhance inter-ministerial coordination and help integrate initiatives undertaken by the government, the private sector and development partners. Special emphasis will be placed on the inclusion of marginalized and disadvantaged youth, including those from rural areas and the Chattogram Hill Tracts.
