Tarique Rahman to begin election campaign in Ctg tomorrow

DHAKA, Jan 24, 2026 (BSS) - BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman is set to begin his second election campaign from Chattogram tomorrow following the launch of his campaign in Sylhet.

BNP Central Election Steering Committee spokesperson Mahdi Amin disclosed this at a press conference held at the party's election office in Gulshan this morning.

He said Tarique Rahman will depart Dhaka for Chattogram today and arrive there by air at 7:35 pm, where he will stay overnight as part of his campaign schedule.

Mahdi Amin said that tomorrow morning at 9:30 am, the BNP chairman will take part in a "Youth Policy Talk" at a hotel in Chattogram, where around 300 students from different universities will participate. 

During the interaction, Tarique Rahman will exchange views on BNP's policy priorities, including education, employment, agriculture, health, women’s empowerment and environmental issues. After the policy discussion, he will join an election rally at the Chattogram Polo Ground.

Mahdi Amin further said that Tarique Rahman will also address election rallies at Feni Pilot School ground, Chauddagram High School ground in Cumilla, Digbaji playground in Sonagazi, Daudkandi Central Eidgah ground and Kanchpur Balur Math in Narayanganj.

He said leaders from BNP's various affiliated and allied organisations will accompany the party chairman during the Chattogram tour, similar to his Sylhet visit.

On January 22, Tarique Rahman formally launched his election campaign from the Govt. Aliya Madrasah ground in Sylhet.
