BNP believes in non-discriminatory social system: Dr. Zahid Hossain

DINAJPUR, Jan 25, 2026 (BSS) - National Standing Committee member of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and its nominated candidate for Dinajpur-6 constituency Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain today said the BNP believes in establishing a non-discriminatory social system, emphasizing equal rights for all citizens as the core philosophy of the party's politics.

He made the remarks while addressing an election road meeting at Kulanandapur village under Bulakipur Union in Ghoraghat upazila of the district around 4:00 pm.

Dr. Zahid said BNP is advancing through peaceful and democratic movements to restore people's voting rights and ensure justice. He stressed that unity among the people is the greatest strength to overcome the ongoing national crisis.

He further said that if BNP comes to power, the party will take effective initiatives to establish the rule of law, democracy, and social justice in the country. To achieve this goal, the BNP-nominated candidate urged voters to strengthen the leadership of BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman, son of the party's founder Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman, in the upcoming parliamentary elections.

He called upon voters to unite and ensure victory by casting their votes in favour of the party's electoral symbol, the Sheaf of Paddy.

Ghoraghat Upazila BNP President Shah Md. Shamim Hossain Chowdhury, Upazila BNP Organising Secretary Mahfuzar Rahman Lavlu, Office Secretary ATM Mahfuzul Haque Mafuz, Upazila Jubo Dal Member Secretary Mofazzal Hossain Pradhan, Upazila Krishak Dal Joint Convener Anwar Hossain Ranu, along with leaders and activists of BNP and its associate organisations, were present at the meeting.
