DHAKA, Jan 26, 2026 (BSS) - Islami Andolan Bangladesh Ameer Mufti Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim, known as Charmonai Pir, today said it is foolish to expect new outcomes from parties that have ruled the country in the past.

Addressing an election rally in support of Islami Andolan Bangladesh candidate Maulana Abu Taleb Muhammad Saifuddin in Sherpur-3 (Sreebardi-Jhinaigati), he said the same parties and alliances are again seeking votes with old laws and failed policies.

He said the July uprising has created an opportunity to build a new Bangladesh through new policies and leadership, adding that Islami Andolan Bangladesh would establish a justice-based system if voted to power.

He urged voters to cast their ballots in favour of the party's 'Hat Pakha' symbol.
