Jamaat Ameer mourns death of Nuruzzaman

DHAKA, Feb 4, 2026 (BSS)- Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman has expressed deep condolence at the death of party leader Mohammad Nuruzzaman Badal, saying the nation has lost a dedicated leader of the Islamic movement.

In a condolence message, Dr Shafiqur Rahman said Nuruzzaman Badal, Jamaat led 11-party electoral alliance candidate for Sherpur-3 constituency and Secretary of Sherpur district Jamaat, passed away yesterday while undergoing treatment for kidney-related complications.

Jamaat Ameer said Nuruzzaman Badal’s commitment to the Islamic movement was unwavering till his last days. 

Dr Shafiqur Rahman prayed for the forgiveness of the deceased and sought his eternal peace. He also conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family members, colleagues and people of Sherpur.
