DUCSU VP urges Satkhira people to stay with justice

SATKHIRA, Feb 7, 2026 (BSS)-Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) Vice President Abu Shadik today urged the people of Satkhira to stay with justice and truth. 

“A certain group of people has made people’s lives miserable through extortion and looting. In the past one and a half years after the July revolution, the group has been involved in extortion, tender manipulation and misappropriation of farmers’ money. We will not make such people our leaders,” he said.

“The new Bangladesh will be free from violence, extortion and corruption and will be based on Justice and truth. I urge you all to stay with justice and truth,” he added while speaking at an election campaign here this noon. 

The election rally was organized by Shyamnagar upazila Jamaat at Nakipur Government Pilot High School ground.

He said that in Satkhira, severe repression had been carried out in the past, resulting in the martyrdom of 48 activists. 

He urged voters to gift all four constituencies of Satkhira to Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman with a massive mandate in the upcoming election. 

Shyamnagar upazila Jamaat Ameer Abdur Rahman presided over the rally while Jamaat central assistant secretary Advocate Moazzem Hossain Helal attended it as  chief guest.

Jamaat candidate for Satkhira-5 constituency for with Daripalla symbol Gazi Nazrul Islam spoke at the chief speaker.

Jamaat central leader Dr. Khalilur Rahman Madani, Islami Chhatra Shibir central secretary Sibgatullah Sibga, Jamaat candidate for Khulna-1 Krishna Nandi, Shibir central student rights secretary Md. Amirul Islam, former Rajshahi University Shibir president Abdur Rahim, Satkhira district Jamaat Ameer Shahidul Islam Mukul, Secretary Azizur Rahman and others were present at the rally among others.

Speaking at the rally Gazi Nazrul Islam called upon the people to reject corrupt and extortionist elements through votes and urged them to cast “yes” votes to implement the July charter.
