DHAKA, Feb 19, 2026 (BSS)- As commercial activity surges during the holy month of Ramadan and upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr, the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has announced giving protection to ensure the safe carrying of large sums of money and valuable goods.

As financial transactions are expected to surge during the holy month of Ramadan, police has requested all individuals, banks, and financial institutions to take assistance for their secured movement, according to a DMP statement issued today. 

The DMP stated that anyone requiring such support must arrange their own vehicles for the transportation, while police personnel will provide only protection services.

DMP has advised interested individuals and institutions to contact with their respective local police stations or reach out directly to the police control room for such services.
