‘Ekusher Kobita’ marking Int’l Mother Language Day to be held tomorrow

DHAKA, Feb 21, 2026 (BSS) – A poetry recital titled ‘Ekusher Kobita’ will be held tomorrow at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy marking the Shaheed Dibosh (Martyr Day) and International Mother Language Day.

Cultural Affairs Minister Nitai Roy Chowdhury will attend the programme as the chief guest, while State Minister Ali Newaz Mahmud Khaiyum will also be present on the occasion, a press release said today. 

The event will begin at 3 pm at the National Art Gallery Auditorium of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy with Academy’s Director General Sheikh Rezauddin Ahmed in the chair.

Secretary of the Academy Mohammad Zakir Hossain will deliver the welcome speech.

Poets and reciters from across the country will attend the event and the event will remain open to all.
