ACC seizes, freezes assets worth Tk 28.51 crore in March

DHAKA, April 15, 2026 (BSS) - The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) seized and froze movable and immovable assets worth Tk 28,51,80,113 in March following 12 court orders.

ACC Deputy Director (Public Relations) Md Akhtarul Islam confirmed the information today.

The ACC said five of the 12 court orders led to the seizure of assets worth Tk 15,64,92,605. The seized properties include 17 acres of land, one building, a tin-shed house, three apartments, a pond, four commercial spaces and a residential house.

Under the remaining seven court orders, financial assets amounting to Tk 12,86,87,508 were frozen. 

These include 74 bank accounts, eight savings accounts, one current account, three credit cards, two Mudarabah Savings Deposit (MSD) accounts, one SB account, five fixed deposit receipts (FDRs), two Beneficiary Owner (BO) accounts, one savings certificate and four term deposits.

In total, the value of seized and frozen assets stood at Tk 28.51 crore, the ACC said.

The commission added that, in compliance with court directives, detailed lists of the assets have been submitted by the concerned departments.
