Major reshuffle at top level in BPC

CHATTOGRAM, April 16, 2026 (BSS) - A major administrative reshuffle has taken place at the top level of the Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) and its subsidiaries. 

Seven officials have been transferred to key positions, as per an office order signed by Shahina Sultana, the secretary of BPC's Chattogram head office today. The reshuffle was approved by the appropriate authorities in the interest of administration and the public.
 
According to the order, Md. Yusuf Hossain Bhuiyan, the Managing Director of LP Gas Limited and Senior General Manager (Additional Duty) at BPC, has been appointed as the Managing Director of Jamuna Oil Company Limited.
 
Engineer Md. Amir Mohammad, the Managing Director (Current Duty) of Jamuna Oil Company Limited, has been reassigned to the position of Managing Director (Current Responsibilities) at LP Gas Limited.

Senior General Manager (Audit) of BPC, Md. Abul Kalam Azad, has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Standard Asiatic Oil Company Limited. Ferdousi Masum Himel, the current CEO of Standard Asiatic Oil Company Limited, will now serve as the General Manager of the Distribution and Marketing Division at BPC.

Muhammad Morshed Hossain Azad, the General Manager of the Commercial and Operations Division at BPC, will take on the role of General Manager of the Finance Division. Mohammad Zahid Hossain, who was previously attached to the Office of the Chairman at BPC, will now serve as the General Manager of the Commerce and Operations Division. 

Md. Jahangir Kabir, currently the General Manager of Finance at BPC, will be transferred to the position of General Manager of Audit.
 
The office order specifies that the transferred officers must be released from their current positions and report to their new roles by the afternoon of April 16. 

Failure to do so will result in immediate release that afternoon. The reshuffle is intended to inject dynamism into administrative activities.
