61 suspected criminals held in city

DHAKA, June 13, 2026 (BSS) – A total of 61 suspected criminals involved in various criminal activities were arrested on Thursday during special drives conducted by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).
 
“They were involved in various crimes under Tejgaon area of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP),” said a press release issued by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) media division here today.

The DMP press release said that police produced them before the court.

The arrested are - Md Zahid (23), Md Shuvo (23), Md Naeem (18), Md Hazrat Ali (19), Md Taijul Islam Tuhin (22), Russell (32), Md Amir Hossain (23), Md Munna (32), Md Rubel Kha (40), Md Arju (37), Md Shihab (20), Md Pavel (22), Mominul Amin (41), Abdus Sattar, Md Tamim (20), Md Rakib (18), Md Mahbub (20), Md Rahul (19), Md Monir Hossain, Md Raihan (19), Sohel alias Mamun (30), Md Jahangir Alam (28), Md Mizanur Rahman (28), Md Masud Rana (30), Abu Sayeed (28), Abu Bakar Siddique (45), Rafiqul Islam (20), Md Tushar Ahmed Roni (40), Md Akash (21), Md Nahid (19), Md Irfan (21), Md Shakil (20), Md Hannan (25), Md Sujan (20), Tanvir Islam Ratul (20), a minor child, Md Akash (21), Md Rabbi (18), Md Korban, Raju alias Md Ershad (20), Md Mehedi Kausar (33), Md Arif (45), Md Saidul Islam Babu (23), Md Raj (20), Md Bijoy (25), Md Harunor Rashid Golap (25), Md Mehfil Uddin (19), Md Mahbub (20), Md Mohsin (35), Sohel (35), Bishwajit Kumar (24), Imran Hossain (24), Md Yasin Kazi (20), Md Razhi (18) 55. Md. Nayan (18), 

Md Aminul (28), Md Rabiul Islam (22), Md Alim (22), Tanvir Ahmed (18), Md Nur Alamin (30) and Md Tariqul Islam (30).

According to Tejgaon division sources, police arrested them on June 11 after conducting regular raids in various crime-prone areas.

It said among the arrested, five were from Tejgaon Police Station, five from Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station, 33 from Mohammadpur Police Station, five from Tejgaon Industrial Zone Police Station, nine from Adabor Police Station and four from Hatirjheel Police Station.
