DHAKA, Aug 9, 2026 (BSS) - Police arrested 30 people allegedly involved in various crimes during a special operation in Mirpur Model Police Station area of the capital today. 

Mirpur Model Police conducted the operation as part of its efforts to maintain law and order in the area, according to a press release,  issued by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP). 

Police said the detainees include accused in regular cases and individuals allegedly involved in various criminal activities.

Legal proceedings against the arrested individuals are underway. 
Police  said such special operations will continue to maintain a stable law-and-order situation in the capital.
