DHAKA, Aug 13, 2026 (BSS) - An eight-member delegation of Thailand’s Senate Standing Committee on Labour visited Bangladesh Overseas Employment and Services Limited (BOESL) on August 12 to explore expanding employment opportunities for Bangladeshi workers in Thailand.

A bilateral meeting was held between the delegation, led by committee Chairman Nitrutti Suthinun and the BOESL team led by Managing Director Mohammad Rashedul Haque.

The Thai delegation was briefed on BOESL’s transparent, orderly, ethical, safe and low-cost model for sending skilled workers abroad.

The delegation expressed satisfaction with the model and welcomed BOESL’s initiatives on safe migration.

BOESL requested the Thai committee to create job opportunities for Bangladeshi workers in Thailand’s construction, agriculture, tourism and hospitality sectors.

Both sides expressed interest in strengthening labour market cooperation and creating more employment opportunities through safe, orderly and ethical migration.
