RAJSHAHI, Aug 26, 2026 (BSS)- Japanese business representatives held a courtesy meeting and exchange of views with Mahfuzur Rahman Riton, administrator of Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC).
The meeting was held this noon in the office of the RCC Administrator at Nagar Bhaban.
The Japanese business representatives expressed interest in establishing a Japanese language learning and skill development institute in Rajshahi and creating a skilled workforce for employment in Japan.
At that time, the RCC Administrator assured necessary cooperation in this regard, subject to the approval of the appropriate authorities of the Government of Bangladesh and the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives, and in compliance with existing laws, rules and regulations.
The Japanese delegation included Shinichi Maruyama of Citec Co-operative Association, Mr. Bannu, representative of Genki.
Professor Manjur Rahman, Prof S M A Horaira, Fazle Taher Bakul, Advocate Mehedi and others were also present during the meeting.
Also present on the occasion were Rajshahi City Corporation Chief Executive Officer Rezaul Karim, its Secretary Sohel Rana, Superintending Engineers Khairul Baker and Ahmad Al Moin, Chief Health Officer Dr. F A M Anjuman Ara Begum and other officials.
