JOYPURHAT, Sept 1, 2026 (BSS) - State Minister for Public Administration Md. Abdul Bari today said people of Bangladesh have repeatedly placed their trust in the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) whenever the country has faced a crisis.
"People of Bangladesh have trusted and voted for BNP time and again whenever the country faced crises," he said.
The state minister made the remarks while addressing a rally as the chief guest, organised to mark the 48th founding anniversary of BNP.
He said the people had earlier entrusted Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia with power and similarly brought BNP to power again this time.
Referring to the incumbent Prime Minister, Abdul Bari said the prime minister is working tirelessly to steer the country forward and overcome the prevailing crisis.
"Give us a few days. You will see that the country will reach the pinnacle of development, Insha Allah," he added.
Earlier, the anniversary programmes began in the morning with the hoisting of the national and party flags at the District BNP office.
Leaders and activists of BNP and its affiliated organisations attended the rally.
