"Forty eight years ago, a distinguished son of this country, the great proclaimer of Independence Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman established BNP with several commitments,” Rizvi told the rally.

"Today marks six months of the BNP government. Can anyone point to a single incident of enforced disappearance or extrajudicial killing?” he said,

Rizvi said during the previous regimes bodies of people with dissenting opinions were routinely found on the banks of the Padma, the Madhumati, and various other rivers, as well as in fields and meadows.

The rally presided over by Dhaka-18 constituency MP S M Jahangir Hossain while Mustafa Zaman, member secretary of Dhaka Metropolitan North BNP spoke.
