KANDY, Sri Lanka, July 30, 2024 (BSS/AFP) - Sri Lanka skipper Charith
Asalanka won the toss and elected to field first against India as they look
for a consolation win in the third T20 international on Tuesday.

The hosts have handed an international debut to Chamindu Wickramasinghe, who
makes the team in place of Dasun Shanaka after a delayed toss due to rain in
Kandy.

A new-age Indian team, led by Suryakumar Yadav and coached by Gautam Gambhir,
took an unbeatable 2-0 lead in the three-match series on Sunday and now eye a
sweep.

retirements of stalwarts Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja from
the format.
