DHAKA, August 14, 2024 (BSS)- Bangladesh Krira Unnayan Parishad (BKUP) formed
a human chain in front of National Sports Council(NSC) today (Wednesday)
demanding to bring the country's all corrupted and dishonest people in sports
arena under the justice.

BNP's Sports Affairs Secretary and former National Goalkeeper Aminul Haque
led the human chain.

Besides, a protest meeting was also held at the same venue under BKUP's
banner, said a press release here.

BNP's Central Leader and Bangladesh Athletics Federation former President
Abdus Salam, former student leader and former Member of Parliament Khairul
Kabir Khokon, deprived officials and players of different sports federations
were present, among others, in the protest meeting.

Aminul Haque said they are looking into the complaints of corruption that
have received in different sports federations and associations at different
times. Those who are involved in corruption would be brought under the law
and prosecuted.

The former national custodian said that they want to keep the country's
sports arena totally corruption free. The corrupt must be punished, he added.

He also vowed to present a corruption-free and party-free sports arena in the
country.

There would be no partisanship in any sports federation, no politics in any
organisation and the total atmosphere will be free of politics, he continued.

Aminul said there is no room for any factionalism in federations and hoped to
furnish the federations with those dedicated persons who were deprived in
various ways. Only those who are eligible would remain in the sports arena.

In the protest meeting, the players and organisers also demand to form all
federations of the country with the tested, professional and voluntary
organisers.
