NSC issues outline of ad-hoc for sports associations

DHAKA, Aug 27, 2024 (BSS) - The National Sports Council (NSC) today (Tuesday)
issued an outline of ad-hoc for all district, divisional and upazila sports
associations across the country, said a press release.

It issued notification giving instructions on how to constitute ad-hoc
committees of sports associations and also given a guideline for who will be
in the committee.

In the NSC notification, signed by NSC secretary (joint secretary) Mohammad
Aminul Islam, instruction has been given to make the seven-member ad-hoc
committee for all three sports associations.

Each committee will have five members. Two of them will be directly involved
in sports. For example, player, coach and referee. One member will be of
sports fan or sports person having acceptable in the local context. There
will be one member sports related organizer or student representative and
another one member will be a sports journalist.

According to this instruction of the NSC, the convener of the divisional
sports association will be the divisional commissioner (Ex officio) , the
member secretary will be the deputy director of the youth development
department, the convener of the district sports association will be the
deputy commissioner(Ex officio), the member secretary will be the district
sports officer and the convener of the upazila sports association will be the
upazila executive officer(Ex officio), the member secretary will be the
upazila youth development officer.

Instructions also have been given to form an ad-hoc committee and asked to
send it to the NSC for approval.
