BAGERHAT, Jan 31, 2025 (BSS) - Festival of Youth U-17 National Gold Cup Football tournament finals (boys' and girls') were held at Bagerhat Stadium on Friday.

In the girls' section final match, Kachua upazila team emerged champions defeating Mongla upazila team by 4-2 goals in tiebreaker after the regulation time ended goalless draw.

In the boys' section final, Bagerhat sadar upazila beat Rampal upazila by 2-0 to win the title.

Md Iqbal Hossain, additional secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports,was the chief guest and distributed the prizes after the final matches.

Khulna divisional government physical education college principal Md RubelKhan, Khanjahan Ali College Principal Asif Uddin Rakhi, district sports officer Md Hossain Ahmed, local dignitaries including the convener of anti-discrimination student movement Saddam Hossain were also present in the prizedistribution ceremony, presided by Bagerhat deputy commissioner Ahmed Kamrul Hasan.
