BAF celebrates Festival of Youth in Rajshahi

DHAKA, Jan 31, 2025 (BSS)- With the aim of building a new Bangladesh, Bangladesh Archery
Federation (BAF) has been conducting various activities across the country on occasion of Festival
of Youth under the slogan of “Let's change the country, change the world”

As part of the continuation, the BAF celebrated the Festival of Youth at Rajshahi Muktijuddho
Smrity Stadium as the seventh venue holding various day-long activities.

Apart from archery competition, the day-long program also included colorful rally, ‘pitha festival’
and voluntary blood donation program.

Rajshahi additional district administrator Md. Mohinul Hasan formally inaugurated this event of
Archery as the chief guest. General Secretary of Bangladesh Archery Federation Kazi Rajib Uddin
Ahmed Chapal was present there as the special guest.

Rajshahi divisional minority cultural academy deputy director Benjamin Tudu, BAF executive
members Sheikh Md. Azizur Rahman Bachchu, Md. Farque Dhali and Sohail Akram and archery's
national coach Martin Frederick were also present on the occasion.

A total of twenty participants -- ten of boys’ and equal number of girls’ -- participated in the
archery competition.
Tushar won gold in boys’ section and Nayeem won silver while Siyam secured bronze medals.

In the girls’ section, Ibsar Arafat won gold and Meem bagged silver while Ratri secured the bronze.
In the junior category, Attin won the gold and Eti bagged silver while Alo Akter secured bronze
medal.
