Four players share lead in rating chess

DHAKA, March 18, 2025 (BSS)- Four players shared the top position in the points table after full four points in the fourth round of the Independence Day Walton International Rating Chess competition held at Bangladesh Chess Federation on Tuesday.
 
The four players are international master Md. Minhaj Uddin, FIDE Master Subrata Biswas, candidate master Md. Shariatullah and Ryan Rashid.
 
Four players shared the second position with 3.5 points. They are international master Abu Sufian Shakeel, FIDE Master Sheikh Nasir Ahmed, FIDE Master Khandaker Aminul Islam and Sornavo Chowdhury.
 
In the day’s fourth round matches, international master Md. Minhaj Uddin defeated FIDE Master Md. Sharif Hossain, FIDE Master Subrata Biswas defeated Female candidate master Warsia Khushbu, Ryan Rashid defeated Mughdah Anat Chowdhury, candidate master Md. Shariatullah beat FIDE Master Md. Javed, international master Abu Sufian Shakil beat Md. Nasir Uddin, Sheikh Nasir Ahmed beat Mohammad Shakil, Fide Master Khandaker Aminul Islam  beat candidate master Md. Jamal Uddin and Rshnabo Chowdhury defeated female candidate Master Waliza Ahmed.
