DHAKA, Sept 27, 2025 (BSS)- Bashundhara Kings lost valuable points as they
were forced to play a 2-2 goal draw with PWD Sports Club in their opening
match of Bangladesh Football League held at Shaheed Barkat Stadium in Gazipur
today (Saturday).
In the day's match, Brazilian forward Dorielton and forward Faysal Ahmed
Fahim who led the first half by 2-0 goals.
Uzbek forward Akobir Turaev and forward Arman Faysal netted one goal apiece
for PWD.
Dorielton opened the net for Kings scoring the first goal in the 13th minute
and Fausal doubled the lead scoring the second goal in the 45+2nd minute of
the match.
But after the breather, PWD staged a brilliant fight back in the match to
deny Kings' victory.
Akobir pulled one back for PWD in the 60th minute converting a spot kick
while Arman levelled the margin scoring the second goal for PWD in the 72nd
minute of the match.
Bashundhara Kings will play their next match against Fortis Football Club
while PWD will meet Arambagh Krira Sangha in their respective second round
matches to be held on October 20.
