DHAKA, Sept 27, 2025 (BSS) - Chattogram Division consigned Dhaka Metro to an 
eight-wicket defeat, riding on half-centuries from Mahmudul Hasan Joy and 
Shahadat Hossain Dipu in their second game of the NCL T20 tournament at 
Sylhet International Cricket Stadium today.

Joy, who opened the innings, smashed a marauding 71 off 37 with four fours 
and six sixes while Dipu was not out on after an equal aggressive 36 ball-64 
as Chattogram chased down 186 in just 16.5 overs, losing two wickets.

After the departure of another opener Mominul Haque who hit 31 off 18, Joy 
and Dipu added 74 of just 38 deliveries to edge the side close to victory.

Joy though was dismissed after trying to hit a six, Dipu closed out the game 
with the innings, studded with two fours and five sixes. Captain Yasir Ali 
was not out on 12 when Chattogram confirmed the victory.

Captain Naim Sheikh and Mahfijul Islam Robin added 81 runs for a solid start 
to Metro after they were sent to bat first.

Naim made team-best 46 off 33 while Mahfijul scored 41. Veteran Mahmudullah 
Riyad then rolled back his heydays, giving the finishing touch with 22 ball-
41 not out. Abu Haider complemented Ryad with 12 ball-24 not out as Metro 
posted 185-6.

However, at the end, it was not enough to seal the deal.
