First division cricket league begins tomorrow

DHAKA, Dec 11, 2025 (BSS) - The Dhaka First Division Cricket League (FDCL) 
2025-2026 kicks off tomorrow (Sunday), with exciting matches scheduled at 
various venues across the city. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has 
already released the fixtures for the opening two rounds.

The league features 20 teams split into two groups-Group A and Group B. The 
champions and runners-up from the FDCL will move to the Dhaka Premier League 
(DPL) for the next season.

The matches are scheduled to take place at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket 
Stadium (SBNCS), BKSP, PKSP and the Silicon City Ground.

Group A consisted with Partex Sporting Club, Gazi Tyres Cricket Academy, 
Amber Sporting Club, Bangladesh Police Cricket Club, Lalmatia Club, Dhanmondi 
Cricket Club, Old DOHS Sports Club, Kalabagan Krira Chakra, Dhaka United, 
Baridhara Dazzlers.

Shinepurkur Cricket Club, Uttara Cricket Club, Khelaghar Samaj Kallayan 
Samity, Sk. Jamal Cricketers, Surjottorun Club, Prime Doleshwar Sporting 
Club, Kakrail Boys Club, Tri State Cricketers, Orient Sporting Club and BKSP 
are pitted into Group B.

The season opens on five Group A matches tomorrow (Sunday): Partex Sporting 
Club face off Baridhara Dazzlers at PKSP-2; Gazi Tyres Cricket Academy meet 
Dhaka United at BKSP-3; Amber Sporting Club take on Kalabagan Krira Chakra at 
BKSP-4; Bangladesh Police Cricket Club play Old DOHS Sports Club at SBNCS; 
and Lalmatia Club lock horns with Dhanmondi Cricket Club at the Silicon City 
Ground.

Group B enters the competition the following day. Shinepukur Cricket Club 
face off BKSP, while Uttara Cricket Club take on Orient Sporting Club at 
BKSP-3. Khelaghar Samaj Kallyan Samity meet Tri State Cricketers at SCG; Sk. 
Jamal Cricketers lock horns with Kakrail Boys Club at PKSP-1; and Surjotorun 
Club play Prime Doleshwar Sporting Club at BKSP-4.

After a rest day on 16 December, Group A's second round matches will resume 
on December 17. Partex Sporting Club meet Dhaka United at BKSP-3; Gazi Tyres 
face Kalabagan at PKSP-1; Amber SC take on Old DOHS at BKSP-4; Bangladesh 
Police lock horns with Dhanmondi CC at SCG; while Lalmatia play against 
Baridhara at PKSP-2.

Group B's second round will take place on December 18. Shinepukur play 
against Orient at BKSP-4; Uttara face off Tri State at SCG; Khelaghar battle 
with Kakrail at PKSP-1; Sk. Jamal take on Prime Doleshwar at PKSP-2; and 
Surjotorun lock horns with BKSP at BKSP-3.
