BTF mourns death of its ex general secretary

DHAKA, Dec 23, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Tennis Federation (BTF)) expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of its ex general secretary Masud Hasan Jamali, said a BTF press release today.

Jamali passed away due to old age complications at a hospital in the capital last night at the age of 91.

He left behind wife and only daughter to mourn his death. 

Jamali served as general secretary of BTF for two terms, from January 15, 1986 to February 20, 1990, and then from September 16, 1996 to March 11, 1998, with dedication, honesty, and efficiency. 

His contribution to the development of tennis and the institutional development of the organization will be remembered forever. In his personal life, he retired after serving as a member of the Power Generation Board.

He will be buried at the Azimpur old graveyard after Zohr prayers at Uttara Jame Mosque.
In a message BTF president, members of the executive committee and sub-committees, officials and employees and the entire tennis family of the country expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Jamali and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
