DHAKA, Jan 14, 2026 (BSS) - Opener Tanzid Hasan Tamim has insisted that he has
been working on his errors to become more consistent, as he aims to
contribute to the team's cause on a regular basis.
Representing Rajshahi Warriors in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League
(BPL), Tanzid endured a dip in form earlier in the tournament but showed
signs of a return to touch with a half-century in his last match.
So far, the left-hander has scored 166 runs at an average of 20.75 and a
strike rate of 126.71.
Despite his struggles, Tanzid expressed gratitude to the team management for
continuing to show faith in him.
"I couldn't perform up to the mark in the last six or seven matches, but the
team management and senior players kept their faith in me," he told reporters
today.
"I have received great support, which is something every player expects. The
team environment has been really good and it always motivates us to perform
our best."
Rajshahi Warriors will begin the Dhaka phase of the BPL by taking on
Chattogram Royals tomorrow (Thursday) at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket
Stadium.
Although both teams have already secured playoff berths, the match remains
crucial in the race for a top-two finish.
Reflecting on his technical adjustments, Tanzid said he has been working
closely with the coaching staff to address his shortcomings.
"I have been working on my errors consistently and tried to figure out where
the problem lies," he said. "The coaching staff is helping me sort things
out. I hope I can perform regularly from now on. If I perform up to the mark,
it will not only benefit me but also the team."
