Kings, Mohammedan reach last four in Fed Cup

DHAKA, April 21, 2026 (BSS) - Bashundhara Kings and Mohammedan Sporting Club reached last four from group B in the Federation Cup after winning their respective group matches held at two separate venues today.

Held at Bashundhara Kings arena, Bashundhara Kings, rode on their Brazilian forward Dorielton's brilliant hat-trick, defeated Bangladesh Police Football Club by 4-1 goals.

Dorielton scored hat-trick with all four goals in the 45+8th, 52nd, 83rd and 88th minutes while MS Bablu scored a lone goal for Police in the 90+4th minute. 

In another match, Mohammedan Sporting Club beat ten men Arambagh Krira Sangha by 4-0 goals held at Shaheed Dhirendranath Datta Stadium in Cumilla.

In the proceeding, Sourav Dewan slammed hat-trick with three goals in the 76th, 83rd and 89th minutes while Jewel Mia supported him with a lone goal in the 40th minute for Mohammedan. 

Ben Nash Quansah of Arambagh was shown direct red card by the referee for his unsporting bahavier in the match. 

Mohammedan and Kings both have eight points. However, due to goal difference, Bashundhara Kings have emerged as group champions and move on to the qualification round, while Mohammedan finished group runners-up.

The matches of Group A will conclude on April 28. Brothers Union have already secured their place in the last four as group champions.

Meanwhile, the fate of Abahani Limited and Rahmatganj Muslim and friends society will remain uncertain and will depend on the remaining results.
