DHAKA, June 7, 2026 (BSS) - The National Sports Council (NSC) has nominated Sheikh Mohammad Ruhul Amin and Sarfaraz Ahmed as directors of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) for the new board term.

The BCB Board of Directors consists of 25 members, of whom 23 are elected through the board election process. The remaining two directors are nominated by the NSC from among the BCB councilors.

The nominations were confirmed today when NSC Executive Director Daulatuzzaman Khan sent an official letter to the BCB Chief Executive Officer naming Ruhul Amin and Sarfaraz Ahmed as the council's two director nominees.

Under the BCB constitution, the NSC is entitled to nominate up to five councilors for the board election and subsequently select two directors from that group. Former national footballer Zahed Parvez Chowdhury, along with Sarfaraz Ahmed and Ruhul Amin, was among the five councilors nominated by the NSC this year.
